First plant of the Sandefur Lab

We’ve been working hard on our antimicrobial properties of plants studies over the summer and fall. When winter hit, we ran into trouble collecting most of our plants as most had moved to dormancy. To help our research be more sustainable as well as controlled, we are acquiring and planting seeds in our greenhouse. The first seeds were planted near the end of January and today, our first little plant made it’s way to the surface! Here is a picture of the first plant of the Sandefur Lab: Daucus carota, aka wild carrot, aka Queen Anne’s Lace.
